Biography:
Cameron Kneeland comes to North Adams after a brief stint with the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League earlier this summer. Kneeland is a versatile two-way player who will be able to play all over the diamond for the SteepleCats this summer.
Kneeland had a solid season at UMass Lowell in 2010. He started all of the River Hawks' 46 games and led the River Hawks with a .313 batting average, a .508 slugging percentage, 16 doubles and 43 RBI. His five home runs were tied for second most on the team. As a freshman in 2009, Kneeland appeared in ten games in the field and in six games on the mound.
Kneeland played his final two years of high school baseball at Triton Regional High School in Byfield, Mass. As a senior, he batted .520 with 25 RBI and went 4-2 on the mound.
