After transferring to UTPA from junior college, Will Klausing has become one of the top players for the Broncs as he battles back from injury in 2012. While playing primarily in right field this season, Klausing has the tools to take over center field for the SteepleCats this summer.

So far in 2012, Klausing has appeared in 18 games but owns an impressive .314 batting average with 16 hits in 51 at-bats. He has scored 11 runs and doubled twice while driving in 14 runs.

In 2011, Klausing hit .367 with 16 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 43 RBI and 29 runs scored for North Central Junior College. He even saw some action out of the bullpen last year.  

Klausing earned three letters in baseball and three in basketball at Denton Ryan High School, winning the district championship in baseball all three years he played. He earned all-district honors while in school.

The son of Jim and Leslie, Will Klausing was born Jan. 31, 1991. He has one sister, Bonnie, and is pursuing a degree in special education.
