A member of a starting rotation for a URI team that is in the midst of one of its most memorable seasons to date, the Ocean State native Nick Narodowy will make the trek up to the Berkshires as another key cog in the pitching staff for Bryan Adamski.

After appearing in only eight games in his rookie season, Narodowy is a staple of the lineup for the Rams in 2012. While his overall record may not indicate it, the southpaw has enjoyed a fine season with a 4.38 ERA and 35 strikeouts in nearly 50 innings of work. Most impressive, however, is the fact that opposing hitters bat just .218 against him. The Rams, meanwhile, are off to a 26-19 start and nearly knocked off the top-ranked Division I team – Florida State – at the end of April.

Narodowy saw action in eight games as a freshman, throwing 14.2 innings while earning a 7.36 ERA and a 1-1 record to compliment 13 strikeouts.

While in high school at North Smithfield, Narodowy was a member of the baseball, soccer and hockey teams. He captained the baseball team for two seasons and was a three-time first team All-Division selection in both baseball and hockey. For his efforts, he was named Division 2 North MVP as a junior and helped lead his baseball team to the state championship in 2008, one of the proudest moments of his athletic career.

The son of Neil and Donna, Nick was born April 12, 1992. He has two younger brothers - Connor and Dylan - and a sister, Alyssa. When not on the diamond, Narodowy enjoys golf and snowboarding. He is pursuing a degree in Kinesiology.
