With seven appearances – and six starts – for the Seahawks in 2012, Bass has provided a reliable right-handed pinch-hitting role in his sophomore campaign. He has three hits with an RBI and one run scored. The Four Oaks, N.C., native also came off the bench in nine games during his rookie season, during which he scored twice, doubled once and went 1-for-8 at the plate.

Bass was a three-year letter winner for coach Keith Durham at South Johnson High School, earning an All-Eastern Carolina Conference selection after his senior season. He also earned the Coaches Award during his junior and senior seasons and played in the State Games of North Carolina in 2009 and in the East-West All-Star game as a senior.

The son of Lisa and David, Dillon Michael was born May 20, 1992.
