A member of the three-man contingent hailing from the University of Miami, Esteban Tresgallo has needed little time to adjust to Division I collegiate baseball, earning himself starting spot with the Hurricanes in his rookie season that has seen him already make his presence felt.

Practically an every-game starter for the Hurricanes, Tresgallo has appeared in 39 games – 37 starts – and bats .256 on 32 hits in 125 at-bats. He has launched eight doubles, one triple and three homers while driving in eight runs and scoring 20. Tresgallo was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 50th round of the 2011 MLB Draft.

Tresgallo played for Coach Julio Ruuira at Colegio Marista in his hometown of Guaynabo. In his senior season, he hit .400 with five home runs, 20 RBI and 10 stolen bases to help the team win the Puerto Rico prep title and while earning himself All-State honors. He also earned All-County honors during both his sophomore and junior years.

Tresgallo is the son of Ruben and Clara Pores. He has one brother (Ruben) and one sister (Clara) and is pursuing a degree in Biology.
