NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The rainout between the North Adams SteepleCats and Mystic Schooners originally scheduled for last Friday, July 20, has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 26, the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) office announced Monday morning.

The SteepleCats will travel to Fitch High School for a 12:30 p.m. contest. The earlier start time was warranted due to the fact that the Schooners travel to New Bedford for a second game later on Thursday night.

Thursday’s game will be the final Eastern Division opponent for the SteepleCats in the regular season; North Adams owns a 5-4 record against the East, but after getting off to a 5-0 start, the SteepleCats were swept in two-game series against both Newport and New Bedford and will be looking for their first win against an Eastern Division opponent since an 11-8 victory at Laconia on July 6.

The SteepleCats will enjoy an off day before resuming their regular-season schedule on Tuesday, July 24, when they visit Vermont for a key Western Division showdown. First pitch from Montpelier Recreation Field is set for 6:30 p.m.
