Host Families
The Importance of Host Families to the Steeplecats Organization
Host families play the most important role in our organization, as without a warm, nurturing home to stay at, no players would be able to come to North Adams and compete at the level t

hey are expected to on the field. Host families provide a warm home and abundant home cooked food for the player, and in return we hope that they have as rewarding of an experience as the player. Many families have been housing players for several consecutive seasons, and continue opening their doors to future players because of the great games, laughs, and relationships that are built between the family and the ballplayer.
A SteepleCat player will forever remember and appreciate the experience he has when coming to North Adams and being welcomed into the home of a North Adams family, and by the end of the summer a special bond has been formed. Many players are still in touch with their host families, as the host families get to monitor their progress through college, into pro ball, and hopefully the Major Leagues!! While all along remembering that special summer, when that player called their house, and North Adams, home.
If you are inte

rested at all in joining the SteepleCats team and helping support our program by opening the door to your home to a future player, please contact our housing director Judith McConnell at
jmaharpt@yahoo.com or the call the Steeplecats: 413-663-7333. Without the future support of host families in North Adams, SteepleCats baseball will not be possible, so please call if you are interested.
